Dear Rob,
I guess they appreciate a Fiesta Platter in Whatcom County.

Respectfully,
Joe Kaiser

Joe,
Why did you have to call out the good folk of Whatcom county? Now they’ll get reprimanded.

Hmmmm. Whatcom was clearly out of the loop, and must have missed the memo. Or maybe they read it, but let you bribe them anyway with sweet talk and food. You could be facing more prosecution, like the famous pizza caper. The thank you letter makes it harder for them to come to their senses and make “the call” to let the sellers know they are (have been, will be) scammed. But hey, there is money on the table.
Could it be they just appreciated your professionalism, courtesy and consideration? The simple logical answer would be yes.
I sure would like to be a fly on the wall at the next County Treasurers State convention. My guess is Whatcom will get set straight

Hmm, same opinion as Chris. Not nice to expose those good folks. And this may backfire, too. Don’t be surprised if they’ll be much colder next time you deal with them.

Gray, I imagine Chris’ comment was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.
