No response . . .

Posted April 5th, 2008 by Joe Kaiser

Do you believe the profits investors earn in foreclosure influenced transactions are, by nature, unfair?

Dear Rob,

Here’s my email to Prentiss Cox, author of the Minnesota statutes you’ve decided to model in creating our state’s foreclosure laws.

University of Minnesota Professor and
former AAG Prentiss Cox

Since this is the second time I’ve emailed him with no response forthcoming, I’m guessing he’s not interested in discussing it.

Truth be told, if this were something I’d put together, I probably wouldn’t want to talk about it, either.

Any comments?

Dear Mr. Cox,

Writing once again and asking for your thoughts . . .

I contend (1) the 2004 Minnesota foreclosure statutes have eliminated real estate investors from the foreclosure marketplace, that (2) investor solutions previously available to people in foreclosure no longer exist, and (3) eliminating these solutions has contributed significantly to the “staggering” glut of foreclosures now impacting areas of Minnesota.

Any comments?

Do you believe the profits investors earn in foreclosure influenced transactions are, by nature, unfair?

To date, I have not met a current or former AAG who does not think foreclosure investors are bad news, and I’m wondering, as author of the 2004 statutes, how you’ve categorized investors in your own mind.

Thanks for your time and insights.

Joe Kaiser

Mums the word?

Nothing do far. Will keep you posted.

In the arena,

Professors are attorneys who can’t hack it in the real world. Is it any surprise they’re clueless??

Joe, this guy won’t respond because he is too busy seeing if his lawnmower is put away in the right space in his garage(even using a tape measure to see it is), vacuuming his carpets over and over again, checking his wife’ e-mails, text messages, calling his son on his cell phone every ten minutes to see where he is…..seeing his shrink…

And most of all, sitting in the corner of his study twiddling his thumbs and thinking how else he can save the stupid public from themselves.
