Not Really Not Understanding

Posted December 13th, 2008 by Joe Kaiser

It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it. Upton Sinclair

Leen on Me

Posted November 9th, 2008 by Joe Kaiser

At Leen & O'Sullivan, PLLC, we will make every effort to help you keep your home and get you back on the track toward financial recovery.

Dear Rob,

Although I’ve never met attorney David Leen, he has been a hero of mine for many years.

Way back in the 80’s, he sued on behalf of an owner in foreclosure who’d been mistreated and forever ensured foreclosure trustees in Washington State play fair.

After Cox v. Helenius, there was no question that foreclosure trustees owed fiduciary duties to both lender and borrower.

Attorney David Leen

David Leen, no doubt, is a good guy and, apparently, a foreclosure rescue scam artist (no, not really).

Another Zook Mann Vid

Posted October 28th, 2008 by Joe Kaiser

Could I be any more clear, Rob? Or is this really that difficult for your crack staff to comprehend?

Dear Rob,

Your office says my objective is to steal homes and strip equity from folks facing foreclosure. Your office, I think we can all acknowledge by now, is nuts.

Here’s another short Zook Mann clip with me talking to a fellow we rescued and sold back our interest. Five years later, he’s yet to pay dime one, btw.

My goal here is not for you to default and me ending up owning your whole thing. Like I said, I will never foreclose and I will never evict you. I will work with you every step of the way . . .Joe Kaiser

Hmmmm?

The Zook Mann Videos

Posted October 20th, 2008 by Joe Kaiser

Dear Rob,

In late 2003, Jesse Zook Mann followed me around with a video camera, documenting my investing style and for some reason, we decided I needed to be wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

So, every day that month I showed up in said hoodie and the two of us hit the streets. Sometimes, a partner or two tagged along, and we video-taped the whole thing.

>

I think there’s something like 18 hours of videos, and finding them the other night was just about the best news I could imagine.

Merry Christmas

Posted August 28th, 2008 by Joe Kaiser

I have just one question, Rob . . . could your office possibly get it any more wrong?

Dear Rob,

For the sake of argument, you’re in foreclosure, with 24 hours to get it brought current or you lose your home.

Are you with me?

In 24 hours, if you don’t get this thing squared away, your home is sold at auction.

And then I show up and make you the following proposal . . .
